The First time you go online with GOIM it will ask you if you want to add the Stats Tracking Bot to your roster (stats@sphene.net). (You can also use this bot with other clients by simply adding the contact.)

This will be used to get stats of your online time / time you play a game .. as well as recognizing if you are on the same server as someone else who is not in your roster ..

In addition it is possible to retrieve your Online status through the web:
